End of Days, Rise of Heroes by Joshua Vrana

At the end of days,
When all the light has gone away,
All around you shall cry,
As you stand there watching them die.

Will you choose to fight,
For all that you once held as right.
If you could end the suffering,
That all this war does bring.

If you could be their angel,
Would you deliver them from this evil?

Which side will you choose?

The dead and the dying,
or The free and the living.
The lost and broken,
or The proud and outspoken.

Will you stand for a worthy cause?
Something to give those around you pause?
Will you give people something to rally behind?
Or just continue your toil and grind?

At the end of days,

Will you be the misbegotten,
or The never to be forgotten?

Listen,
I’ll teach you to speak,
So you can win without clenching a fist.
It’s easy.

Over here,
I’ll teach you to forget emotion,
No anger, no fear, just objects.
Yes it’s hard.

Sit down,
I’ll teach you to die,
So I can give you new life.
No, not literally.
