Loved how the book tied itself up with events in real life. Though I must admit that the Shield of Thunder was my favourite as well.
The most memorable part for me was when Agamemnon went flying through the sky XD, it seemed really cartoonish but hilarious.
With the last book done, I also couldnt help wonder what if a Troy movie were to be fashioned after David Gemmell's work. Though I'd imagine it would lose the attention of those eager for mindless swinging of sticks.
It certainly was hard to me to handle the fact that David Gemmell was gone when I had only just started reading his books last year. And I had only just enjoyed the Shield of Thunder. =(
Doubt that there'll ever be such a writer as DG, at least I've still got a far lot of series to devour =P.
