Hey All,
I just wanted to tip the nod on Christian Cameron his Tyrant series has been enjoyable and I'm currently engaged on the first of his in a new series. Killer of Men. It's definitely a title I'm recommending to Historical Fiction fans and also you DG peeps (but only if you loved Troy and Lion of Macedon.) Great offering.

If you've got a library near you perhaps try to borrow one of his books first. Not that I'm against outright purchase but its a good way to see if you like the author first.

Tyrant is during the reign of Alexander - but not related to his campaigns, its about a mercenary general fighting on the plains of the Getic tribes...right on the fringes of Hellenic civilisation.

Its wicked.

Good i like Ancient Greece stories but no fan of Alexander. He is too overrated historically. His empire was great even before him to comapre ot Cesear,Ghengis for example. Historically you know people like Philip,Paremenion built the great army that conqured for Alexander.

I like to read those times without Alexander being the lead character.

His new one, Killer of Men, is set just before Marathon. So hopefully that too will pique an interest or two.
