Another series about Thomas would be good...

Youre not the only one Sil, I really do wish that if it was going to be something like a 10 book series that Bernard would announce it. Just so we know as I keep thinking that each new book would sum it up.

My soul has snapped!

Enenmy of God is awesome and I can feel its all gonna go to hell really soon (like it hasn't already).
Ah, bringing with it a bottomless terror
Ah, an evil soul draws near
I cannot lose now, this is the dividing line of destiny
I can only go ahead, and stake my life at dawn
It's in my hands! Whoa, whatever it takes
I am going to go beyond myself!

He's quashed that one, He says there is nowhere left to take Thomas, However Utred looks to be the "new Sharpe". Which in my opinion is no great shame, as long as it's not for TV.
And Utred will go on to the age of Alfreds Grandkids.

Also mentioned was a Gallows thief sequal

He reads a passage from Azincourt which is pretty cool.

Just about to finish Azincourt and it's my first Bernard Cornwell book. It won't be my last, this has been a really good read and I can't wait to get cracking on some others.

First I have an appointment with Simon Scarrow though :-)

After Gemmel died i wanted to save a few of his book to read in the future and so i found Cornwell and must say im enjoying his books so far espeacially the Alfred ones. After reading Gemmels third person style of writing for so long i thought i would find a sudden switch to first person hard for some reason, but i was proved wrong :D
