Also, I only meant for Lanista to say yes or no because through reading his explanation I didnt understand who he thought was the best. That's all I meant by sticking to a yes or no on who was best. I just wanted Lanista to say. By no means did I want it start being yes or no only. Please let the fun continue. I enjoy looking deep into the stratigist and figuring out who is supreme.

Just to introduce you Lanista is Russell Whitfield our very own Historical fiction Author. Hence the long prose
I would hazard a guess that he would go for Parm as he's a Spartan. :D

If we could use exploitable weakness's, you could tell Parmenion that some blond goddess needs impregnating on the day of the battle. In the glorious name of Philip of course.

Well she was Fit!

But then to counter that you could tell Jassaray that Kitty got loose again!

That's just it - I'm torn. Heart says Parmenion, Head says Jassaray...

How sweet would it be if there was a Gemmell Strategy game where you could pit parmenion and Jasaray against each other!

I could cut you in half without breaking sweat. I could swallow you whole if someone buttered your head and pinned your ears back!!

There may well be a Gemell Total War - there are several forums out there that specialise in making "mods" for the RTW set - I'd be surprised if there wasn't one. There's certainly Lord of the Rings mods, for instance.

Cheers

Hmmm, although I originally put Jasaray because of his heavy infantry, I now have changed my mind. I reckon 7 days is more than enough for Parmenion to poison every watering hole apart from his own and lay down what ever devilish traps his genius can come up with etc. etc. But, then again I wouldnt be surprised if Jasaray found some way of bringing enough water with him, coz he's a smart bugger as well! Argh now Im not sure any more (again). Why did I ever ask this conundrum?

parmenion everytime for me. :D when you look at how j lost to bane, it was his poor tactics stemming from him wanting to toy with the rigante, parmenion would never have made that mistake. parmenion would also (in my opinion) be able to change his tactics faster to deal with different situations that arose during battle. 8)
